What is Webponder?
Webponder is website that provides individuals the opportunity to seek out and video consult with credible Experts in a variety of fields. Webponder strives to give you the most user-friendly platform to communicate in the most innovative and technologically savvy way possible.
How many categories are there on Webponder?
Webponder's goal is to be as broad as possible and have an Expert in every category imaginable. However, if you can't find an Expert in a category that you need, feel free to recommend an Expert or category so that Webponder may take the appropriate measures to have that category covered by qualified Experts to assist you and others like you with questions in that area.
Who are the Experts on Webponder?
The Experts on Webponder are professionals and specialists in various areas of expertise (such as legal, health and fitness, technology, auto, etc…). Viewing each Expert’s Webponder profile will give you more insight into each Expert’s experience and credentials. Although Webponder takes reasonable measures to confirm each Expert’s identity, Webponder does not warrant that all Experts are qualified in their area of expertise, or that their recommendations or advice are accurate.
How does the ratings system work?
It’s very simple, at the end of each video consultation session, each member is encouraged to “rate” their experience with that expert in a few different categories. These ratings are compiled and averaged, which is the “Expert Rating." These ratings range on a scale of 0-5 stars.
Do I need to register?
It depends. If the Expert you wish to video consult with is a Premium Expert, you do not have to have to be a Member. The Premium Expert will simply give you a Session ID to enter and you will be taken to the video consultation.
However, if the Expert you have chosen is a Standard Member, you will need to register with Webponder. Don't worry, it is free to be a Member of Webponder, and all you need to register is some really basic information, like your name, email, age, etc...it'll take you about 30 seconds. Once you register, simply log in to video consult with your Expert.
How do I use Webponder?
Step 1 - Search RED, our Reliable Expert Directory, to find an Expert in the area of expertise you need. Review various Expert profiles to find one that you would like to consult with regarding your issue.
Step 2 - Once you have found an Expert, schedule a video consultation, and make payment for your requested consultation time.
Step 3 - Once your Expert has confirmed your consultation time, just show up in front of your webcam at the scheduled time, and enjoy your session.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Once you have searched for and found an Expert that you would like to schedule a video consultation with, simply click on the big green "Request a Meeting" button. You will then make a payment for the requested time, and a notification will be sent to the Expert. Once the Expert confirms your consultation request, you are all set. If the Expert rejects your consultation request, you obviously will not be charged for the consultation.
How often are the Experts online?
Webponder’s Experts are available to be online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Many of our Experts keep a regular work schedule, and as such, prefer to have their consultations scheduled in advance. However, there are many experts online at any given moment if you are in need of an immediate consultation.
How long should I wait for confirmation of an appointment?
Once you request a video consultation, an email is immediately sent to the Expert, and notification is sent to his or her Webponder Inbox. Once the Expert sees your request, he or she will either "Accept," "Request a different time," or "Deny" your request. Unfortunately, due to the schedules of the Experts, their frequency online, and the urgency of your request, it is impossible for Webponder to tell you exactly how long you should wait for a confirmation due to the schedules of the Experts. Just use your best judgment and try and be patient until the Expert responds.
Can I schedule a Video Consultation with more than one Expert?
Yes, but you shouldn’t. Give your chosen Expert a chance to see your attempt to schedule and confirm the consultation. Remember, these are busy professionals who may not be open the moment you would like to video consult with them. If you need someone right away, try and find an expert who is currently online. Because you need to make payment for your consultation prior to the actual consultation (so the Expert is assured you will appear at the consultation) if you schedule with more than one Expert you will pay for more than one consultation. However, many Experts do offer Free Consultations. REMEMBER, if your issue is of an emergency nature or time sensitive, you may need to go about it the old fashioned way, and go to an individual’s office in your area for a consultation.
What if two Experts accept a Video Consultation with me at the same time?
Simple, be professional, with as much notice as possible, cancel your appointment with one of the Experts. If you have scheduled with two Experts, and paid for them, you WILL be charged for both consultations if you do not cancel your consultation in time. If you have scheduled two Free Consultations, be courteous and cancel one of them. Too many "No Shows" at consultations may lead to your Webponder Membership being revoked.
How much does Webponder cost?
It depends, each Expert chooses his or her own rate for their time. Some Experts will video consult with you for free, some will offer a minimal amount of time as a free consultation, while others always require payment for any of their time. Don’t forget, many of these Experts are highly qualified, and in great demand for their time, and are simply using Webponder as an advanced, convenient form of communicating.
What are the payment options available to me?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards, including prepaid gift cards displaying a credit card logo. We also accept PayPal. Getting a free PayPal account is easy, just go to www.paypal.com.
How do I update my payment information?
You can update your payment information anytime by logging into your account, clicking on "My Account," then clicking on "Billing Information," and then changing your "Credit Card Information."
When will I be charged?
When you send a "Meeting Request" to an Expert, you will be prompted to enter your payment information for the requested amount of time, and a hold will be placed on your credit card while the request is pending. Once the Expert "Accepts" your meeting request, your credit card will be charged. If the Expert does not accept your meeting request, your card will not be charged. The Members are required to pay prior to the video consultation to assure the Experts that you are serious about the video consultation and will show up when it comes time for the video consultation. This is a very similar process to an in person meeting, where you generally pay for a consultation, appointment, or meeting prior to the services being performed.
If your Expert does not show up to the consultation, Webponder will obviously promptly refund your money. If you do not show up to the video consultation, you will be refunded seventy-five percent (75%) of the consultation fee. The balance will be paid to the Expert for the Expert's time, minus the standard transaction fee.
Why can't I log in?
To Login, you must use the email and password combination you created upon registration.
If you have already registered, but are unable to Login, check that you have all cookies enabled on your web browser. You may need to add Webponder.com to your browser's list of trusted websites.
If you remember your email address associated with your account, but cannot remember your password, simply click on the "Forgot Password" icon located in the Login section on the top right side of Webponder's homepage to reset your password.
How do I change my settings?
You can change your settings, profile information, registration details, etc. from the "My Account" link located on the top right side of Webponder's homepage. You will be able to control all aspects of your account from this page.
Follow the simple instructions below to access your "My Account" page:
1. Ensure you are logged in to your Webponder account. You can confirm that you are logged in by viewing the top right portion of most of Webponder's pages, it will say "Welcome John" (or whatever your name is). If it does not say "Welcome (Your Name)", you are not logged in.
2. Once logged in, click on the "My Account" link located at the top right corner of the screen.
Is my session private? Can anyone else view our session?
Unless given prior written approval by both the Member and the Expert, electronic or otherwise, it is expressly forbidden to record any Webponder session, and may violate state and federal laws as well. All Webponder video consultations not previously agreed to be recorded are intended to be private. Additionally, Webponder.com, and Webponder personnel do not view or record, or have access to view or record any sessions either. Please refer to our Electronic Agreement Terms and Conditions for more details.
What if I forget my password?
To protect your privacy, passwords cannot be retrieved. However, they can be reset. Click on the "Forgot Password" icon located near the Login/Registration section to have a new password emailed to you. If you do not have a valid email address in your profile, you will need to contact customer service for assistance.
How do I change my email address?
You can update your email address anytime by logging into your account, clicking on "My Account," then clicking on "Basic Information," and then changing your email address and clicking "Save."
How can I cancel my Webponder Membership?
If you are unhappy with your Membership, please contact Webponder by clicking on the "Contact Us" link located at the bottom of the majority of Webponder's pages. If you are a Member (one who gets consultations) you can always cancel. If you are an Expert, it will depend on the terms of your agreement with Webponder.com.
